Final Reflection
The first project we did of the year was the water color food drawing:
- Some of my strengths during this project were probably my ability to find and find and sketch out my ice-cream.
- A weakness was probably trying to get the right shadows on the drawing and not keeping it one dimensional.
- A problem that came up was probably when i realized how much the water spreads on your drawing and how hard it is to control it.
- I solved that problem by taking my time, not putting as much water and moving my hand slowly on the paper.
- If I could re do or touch up the drawing, I think I would make more dramatic difference in the colors. I feel like the whole project is kind of just pink and brown and i wish i could have used more shades at least of those two colors to make it look less simple.
Next we did the Day of the Dead project,
- One of my strengths was being able to take a lot of images off the internet and create my own and unique scull.
- A weakness was being able to choose the right colors, and knowing what would look the best
-A problem I faced while doing my project was the time. I didn't have much time to paint the final project.
- I solved this problem by planning what I was going to do in class the night before, so when I got to class I would know exactly what to do and the colors I needed to choose.
- If I could change some part of my project I think I would have added more layers to each different color of paint so they would be more solid.

Then we did the Line Drawing,
- I think my biggest strength was sketching a very precise drawing of the red panda I chose, I was sure to line all the different parts of the pandas face with the boxes that corresponded.
- A weakness was probably at the end, I was kind of rushing some of the dark lines and I think I could have too more time on the darer parts.
- A problem I faced was not having enough shading difference per line, so the project was sort of the same shade.
-I fixed this by going back over the lines and either making them bolder or darker, that really helped contrast the different darkness and litheness in the original picture of the panda.
- If I could change my drawing I think I would probably try to use more of my lines and more often on my drawing so its not just 3 different lines repeated again and again.
Another one of our projects was the Foam-Print Making,
- A strength was cutting out each part very well so they would fit together
- A weakness was badly printing the foam on to the paper because that kind of screwed up the whole project for me.
-A problem I faced was making the foam slide on the paper as I printed it which would make it come out all bad.
- I fixed this problem by taking ore time, going slow and pressing on to the block more straight on top of it.
-If there was something I could change it would probably choosing a less complicated animal which i actually ended up doing because I did a surf after.

Grade Defense-First Semester
My favorite art project of the year is probably the line drawing. I really liked the whole process of making this project, from sketching out my red panda to adding the lines in sharpie. At the beginning I really didn't think it was going to look good in the end and I kind of under estimated my self, but as I started to use the sharpie I felt more confident and it started to look better and better. I think I showed a lot of compassion in my art work project because I really think I worked very hard and I took my time while I was applying the sharpie. I think the main reason I loved this project was because it was almost like two pictures in one, if you look at it from close you see the detail of the lines and if you step back a couple yards, you see the shadows and different dark or lightness of the lines.
